जामा मस्जिद शम्सी या ग्रेट मस्जिद शम्सी या मस्जिदे शमसी उत्तर प्रदेश के ऐतिहासिक और सांस्कृतिक केंद्र बदायूं के में बनी एक शानदार जामा मस्जिद है।

मस्जिदे शमसी बदायूं का निर्माण उस समय दिल्ली सल्तनत के शासक सुल्तान इल्तुतमिश ने 1210 में करवाया था। यह मस्जिद फारसी और अफगान वास्तुकला का उत्कृष्ट नमूना है। इसके तीन द्वार हैं: मुख्य द्वार शकील रोड के सामने खुलता है और यह लाल संगमरमर से बना है, जिसकी लम्बाई 100 फीट है। दूसरा गेट फरशोरी टोला की तरफ है, जब्कि तीसरा दरवाजा मोहल्ला सोथा में स्थित है। इसमें एक केंद्रीय गुंबद है जो दो और गुंबदों से घिरा हुआ है और 5 दीगर गुंबद भी हैं। फर्श सफेद संगमरमर से बनाया गया है। इसके परिसर में एक “हौज़” (तालाब) और तीन “वुज़ूखाना” (वाशरूम और बैठक कक्ष) हैं। मस्जिद के दो किनारों पर आवासीय ब्लॉक बने हैं, जिसको जामा मस्जिद क्वार्टर कहा जाता है।

Darul Uloom Gulshan-e-Madina Jamia Nooria is a prominent Islamic educational institution called Madrasa, which is situated in the village Mauna Post Walipur, Via Rampur Hari, District Sitamarhi, the Mithila region in northern Bihar, India. The Muslim populated hamlet Mauna can be reached from Muzaffarpur via NH 77 going to Sitamarhi turning from Khanua or Kuahi, which is approximately 4 km from the settlement. The block headquarter Runisaidpur is only about 14 km from here.

Darul Uloom Gulshan-e Madina, Jamia Nooria, Mauna Walpur has been founded by my maternal grandfather late Mohd Abu Zafar Siddiqui, the grandson of the local Zamindar Janab Dost Ali Sb. The founder of the institution named this Islamic seminary after his granddaughter Anjum Ara alias Noori Parween (The daughter of his only daughter late Amina Khatoon) in the year of 1993 (12^th Rabiul Awwal, 1414 AH) I am eyewitness to the Islamic zeal, enthusiasm and restlessness of my maternal grandfather Mohd Abu Zafar Siddiqui to establish a Madrasa to spread Islamic learning and training in this remote area of the district where there was no such institution to fill the gap. He and his brother endowed large tracts of land near Mauna Eidgah to move ahead on this path. I have heard him reciting a popular stanza every now and then:

The sincere prayers of the founder of Gulshan-e-Madina Jamia Nooria were blessed by the Almighty Allah (ST). Hundreds of the servants of God are associated with this garden of the Prophetic knowledge and wisdom under the leadership, management and spiritual guidance of Hazrat Maulana Alhaj Qari Mufti Hafiz Saghir Ahmad Misbahi Noori Qadri Sb Mudda Zilluhul Aali, the youngest of the three sons of late Mohd Abu Zafar Siddiqui Sb. The rector of Gulshan-e-Madina, Maulana Saghir Ahmad Sb is an alumnus of world famous Islamic University, Jamia Ashrafia, Mubarakpur, Azamgarh. He has rendered unforgettable teaching services in Jamia Qadria Maqsoodpur Aurai Muzaffar, established by one of the finest Islamic Scholars and Mystics of the Indian Subcontinent, late Mufti Aslam Rizvi Qadri Sb, where he memorized the Quran and also studied initial years of Dars-e-Nizami before moving to Mubarakpur for higher Islamic Studies there. Hazrat Maulana Saghir Ahmad Misbahi Sb spent a number of years in Darul Uloom Naimia Chhapra as the Principal and Imam & Khatib of Jama Masjid there in the last decade of the past century. He gave up this lucrative paid service to nurture and develop the Madrasa, his father established with so many dream projects ahead. By grace of Allah Subhanahu wa Taala, Gulshan-e-Madina Jamia Nooria has successfully traveled many a milestones under its visionary Mohtamim Sb, who has full support and cooperation of his two elder brothers, Hazrat Mohd Rizwan Sb and Jameel Akhtar Sb and his eldest son Mr Madani. Mufti Saghir Ahmad Sb issues also Islamic rulings, when he is approached by Muslims to know Islamic point of view regarding Islamic life. Hence, Gulshan-e-Madina Jamia Nooria has its own Darul Ifta. 

Gulshan-e-Madina Jamia Nooria has its beautiful building, in which hundreds of students quench their thirst of knowledge and learning. This institution has become a center of social gatherings and Islamic conferences many times a year, which are attended by thousands of people from different areas and the teachers and preachers here visit nearby villages and towns to satisfy the religious and spirituals needs of Muslims living there. There are various future projects, which are likely to be completed in near future.

“Babul Marasi min Diwanil Hamasa”

To understand the holy Book of Islam, having a sound knowledge of Arabic Language and Literature particularly ancient texts is paramount. Realizing this reality, Ml Farman Nadvi worked on a valuable book “Babul Marasi min Diwanil Hamasah”. Hamasah is a famous anthology of Arabic Poetry by Abu Tammam probably compiled around AD 835, while the complier was staying at Hamadan. 

19^th Century. Although there are a number of books on a literary genre Hamasah, the anthology of Abu Tammam is widely appreciated and adopted in the curricula of Arabic language. Kitab al-Hamasah is divided into ten books and the second book deals with Marasi “Elegies” and the book of Maulana Farman Nepali deals with this very book of Kitab al-Hamasah. The anthology contains a total of 884 poems, most of which are short extracts of longer poems, grouped by subject matter. The selections date back to pre-Islamic, Islamic and early ‘Abbasid times. It has the status of a classic work.

My name is Khalid Nadeem Budauni. My father was Abdul Majid Siddiqui. I was born in Mohalla Sahukara Gate, Budaun on 15^th June, 1958. I was brought up and nurtured by my grandfather Late Abdul Hadi Siddiqui and Phuphi Shamim Bano. My father was Head Constable of Police, so he resided outside due to his employment. I got my primary education in Madrasa Aaliya Qadriya, Budaun under guidance of my grandfather and Phuphi. Thereafter, I passed the Intermediate exam from Islamia Inter College, Budaun and completed Masters in Urdu from Rohilkhand University, Bareilly U.P. and got associated with the Department of Primary Education (Basic Education, U.P. Government) as a teacher after completing B.T.C. I met with my respected teacher Late Shafi Ahmad Khan ‘Payam Kakralvi’ in 1974 while I was studying in Islamia Inter College. I was fortunate enough to receive guidance in Urdu Poetry from Payam Sb. Dr Asad Budauni, Husain Ahmad Farid Chand Sheikhupuri and Khalid Budauni (Resident of Biri 92).

It was the age of nurturing literature and realm of poesy. There were prominent poets, in whose presence I recited poems frequently in poetry symposiums and I was blessed to acquaint myself with literary nuances and subtleties. I also launched an Urdu Magazine “Monthly Roshan”, which could last only for three years. However, my love for poetry pursuits continued advancing. I could avail the training of the respected Teacher only for four springs but my endeavors continue till date. To which extent I have succeeded, it may be judged by the men of letters.

I am eldest of six brothers. By the grace of God (AST) my mother is alive but my father passed away eighteen years back. My three brothers are settled with their businesses in Delhi. The names of my brother respectively are as follow: Mohammad Tariq, Mohammad Aleem, Mohammad Kaleem, Mohammad Yusuf and Mohammad Azeem.

I got married in 1980 to my cousin Ambar Jahan and blessed with five sons. All the Five sons Mohammad Imran, Mohammad Irfan, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Faizan and Mohammad Saud are settled in Mumbai with their businesses. All praise be to the Almighty Allah, my four sons have got married but one son is yet to be married. Unfortunately, I do not have any daughter.

That apart, I am serving language and literature as a servant of a literary organization “Fankaar Academy, Budaun”. My following books have been published or going to be published.

I am deeply associated with some of the contemporary poets, Riyaz Saghar, Hameed Gauhar, Jalil Nizami Hyderabad, Zahoor Zahirabadi, Alok Shrivastava, Sagar Tripathi, Alam Nizami, Shakir Husain Islahi, Ishrat Saghir Shahjahanpuri, Noor Kakralvi, Fahmi Budauni and others. I would like to share one of anecdotes pertaining to my journey into the realm of creativity and poesy. I was at the start of my initiation in the world of poesy in the poetic classes of my mentor and teacher. One stanza of Ghazal was the subject of composing other stanzas on this very pattern. The respected teacher asked me and Asad Budauni and Husain Faridi Chand to compose couplets on this pattern. The respected teacher was inhaling Hukkah and we were engaged in composing couplets on this pattern. I (Khalid Nadeem) succeeded in composing a couplet within three – four minutes and presented the same to the respected teacher. My other fellows also composed couplets but my stanzas were preferred and all other persons endorsed it. That lyric (ghazal) was given to a budding poet Zamirullah Budauni. The couplet to be imitated was:

The immediacy of the stanza puzzled even Dr Asad Budauni despite being one year senior to me. I was honored to attend my first poetry symposium in presence of my respected teacher. On the third day of the demise of Abr Ahsani Gunnauri, one All India Mushaira was convened, which was attended by more than 80 poets and this Mushaira lasted for two complete days. I (Khalid Nadeem) was on the eighteenth number of the list of the first day. My ghazal garnered immense success. Subsequently, I got opportunity to vent my feelings in poesy in the poetry symposiums at Moradabad and Rampur when invited. My poetry lineage reads as below:

I belong to the eighteenth generation of my ancestors in view of settlement in Budaun. My great ancestor Hakeem Muhammad accompanied the father of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya when he migrated here from Mashhad-e-Muqaddas to preach Islam. The illuminating tomb of Hazrat Syed Ahmad Bukhari Mashhadi is still in existence at Sagar Taal, Mohalla Khera Nawada in Budaun, which is visited by masses.

At present, some poets of Budaun migrated from here and some others have passed away. There is dearth of poets in Budaun nowadays. Sadiq Alapuri, Samar Budauni, Ayyub Budauni, Dr. Shadab Zaki, Anwar Qasmi, Raunaq Rahi, Surendra Kumar Naaz, Dr. Pramod Darpan are continuing the glorious tradition of literature and all of them have appreciated me in glowing words. Fankaar Academy, a brain child of mine (Khalid Nadeem) aged 20 years now, organizes on regular basis poetry symposiums and get-togethers and the literary Carwan continues its journey to the destiny.

The illness has taken toll on me (Khalid Nadeem) and I have not remained as strong as I would have been in the past and it has impacted the movement as well. Now I have more concerns to get my books and that of my friends published and nothing else concerns me greatly right now. I seek blessing from the Almighty God for achieving these targets.

Many organizations have honored me with awards. I attended twice in the poetry symposium of Urdu Academy, Uttar Pradesh. I (Khalid Nadeem) frequently face the audience through Radio & Doordarshan Kendra Rampur and Bareilly and Lucknow. I have chaired several poetry symposiums too. Currently I am posting my Video collection on my YouTube channel and Facebook account. I recited my works Online numerous times during lockdowns and I do it constantly every second or third day by the Grace of Allah Subhanahu wa Taala.

Dr Mohammad Raziul Islam Nadvi, an active member of Jamat-e-Islami, Hind is a renowned Islamic Scholar, Writer, Translator and Social Activist. He was born on 27th May, 1964 in the village Rajapur, Bulbulnawaz of the district Bahraich, UP. His father was Mohammad Shafi Khan.

Early Years

Dr Mohammad Raziul Islam Nadvi got primary education in his native district Bahraich and secondary education in Markazi Darsgah Rampur. He graduated and post-graduated from Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulema Lucknow UP in 1981 and 1983 respectively. Valuing professional education, he acquired BUMS degree in 1989 and MD in 1993 from Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College of Aligarh Muslim University Aligarh.

Writing Career

Dr Mohammad Raziul Islam Nadvi is prolific writer, participant national and international seminars and contributor to prestigious periodicals, journals and newspapers on diverse topics pertaining Islam and Muslims in particular and humanity in general. He has authored a number books so far, which include translated and edited books as well.

Dr Mohammad Raziul Islam Nadvi has been associated with a research institution Idara Taqiqq wa Tasnif -e- Islami from 1994 to 2011. Currently, he is the secretary of the writing section of Jamat-e-Islamic Hind and the editor of the famous and prestigious three monthly journal of India, Tahqiqat-e-Islami.

Malmal is one of the large villages of Bihar, where Muslims have a history and culture. Situated 17 km from its district headquarter, Madhubani, it has two Panchayat – North and South. There is a prestigious Islamic seminary Chashma-e-Faiz affiliated to Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulema Lucknow.

History

It is said that Malmal is an old settlement established during the reign of the Mughal Emperor Akbar by Malmali Khan. Malmali Khan was a known Translator in the Court of Akbar. With the passage of time it came under Raj Darbhanga.

Education

Malmal has also been famous for its robust education, where a number of Madrasas and schools are located. Madrasa Chashma-e-Faiz is an old and prominent Islamic seminary affiliated to Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulema. It had been established during 1815-1820 by Abdul Bari Machhli Shahri. Talim-ul-Quran is another old and important seat of learning established in 1900 by Amanat Ali in the northern part of the town. Among several government and private modern educational institutions, Safa Girl’s High School is worth mentioning. It provides education to the girl student upto 10^th grade, while boys can read here only upto 5^th Grade.

Economy

The living standard of Malmal is that of the northern Bihar. Many of its inhabitants are educated and work in global corporations. A number of people here are engaged in large and medium size businesses so the standard of housing and other amenities are better than in nearby villages. Malmal has good road connectivity, electricity and branded shops.

Culture

Cultural events such as poetry symposium, baitbazi, quizzes, panel discussions, theatre performances, etc are common here.

Sport facilities in Malmal are not very good. However, cricket, badminton, carom boards, swimming, marathon and Kabaddi are popular pastimes. One organization namely Tanzeem Islah-e-Moashra has been established in 1984, which is engaged in cultural and reformative activities.

फ्रेटरनिटी मूवमेंट वेलफेयर पार्टी ऑफ इंडिया की छात्र शाखा है जो लोकतंत्र, सामाजिक न्याय और बंधुत्व को मजबूत करने के लिए काम कर रही है। यह भारत के कई क्षेत्रों में विशेष रूप से केरल और दिल्ली में एक तेजी से बढ़ता हुआ छात्र संगठन है। इस संगठन  का नारा ‘लोकतंत्र, सामाजिक न्याय और बंधुत्व’ है।

2017 में एर्नाकुलम में महाराजा कॉलेज के कॉलेज छात्र परिषद में एक सीट जीतकर एफएम ने राजनीति में प्रवेश किया। एफएम की उम्मीदवार आफरीन फातिमा ने 2019 में जवाहरलाल नेहरू विश्वविद्यालय के छात्र संघ चुनाव में पार्षद के रूप में जीत हासिल की थी।

दिसंबर 2019 में नागरिकता विरोधी विरोध के दौरान, भारत को भड़काने वाले ने अंतरराष्ट्रीय कालीकट हवाई अड्डे को अवरुद्ध कर दिया किया था। एफएम के कई सदस्यों को विरोध प्रदर्शनों में शामिल होने के लिए जेल में डाल दिया गया था।

इतिहास

30 अप्रैल 2017 को अंबेडकर भवन, नई दिल्ली में आयोजित छात्र-युवा सम्मेलन में फ्रेटरनिटी मूवमेंट शुरू किया गया था। अलीगढ़ मुस्लिम विश्वविद्यालय के छात्र नेता अंसार अबूबकर को पहले अध्यक्ष के रूप में चुना गया था। अपने गठन के बाद से एफएम ने केरल, पश्चिम बंगाल, तमिलनाडु, राजस्थान, उत्तर प्रदेश और कर्नाटक सहित कई राज्यों में कामयाबी हासिल की है। बाबरी मस्जिद – राम जन्मभूमि विवाद के अदालती फैसले के बाद फ्रेटरनिटी मूवमेंट ने फैसले की आलोचना करते हुए कहा कि था कि सुप्रीम कोर्ट न्याय को कायम रखने में विफल रहा है।

प्रमुख नेतागण

आफरीन फातिमा –

आफरीन फातिमा एक छात्र नेता और फ्रेटरनिटी मूवमेंट की राष्ट्रीय सचिव हैं। वह भारत सरकार की मुस्लिम विरोधी नीतियों के खिलाफ एक प्रमुख मुस्लिम आवाज हैं। वह जेएनयू में भाषा विज्ञान में एमए कर रही हैं, जहां वह भाषा, साहित्य और सांस्कृतिक अध्ययन के स्कूल से जेएनयू छात्र संघ 2019-20 में निर्वाचित पार्षद के रूप में भी काम करती हैं। फ्रेटरनिटी मूवमेंट – बापसा गठबंधन के एक उम्मीदवार के रूप में उन्होंने “उत्पीड़ितों की एकता” के आह्वान को मजबूत किया और प्रतिनिधित्व, भेदभाव और पहचान के दावे के मुद्दों को उठाया। पूर्व में, वह सत्र 2018-19 के लिए अलीगढ़ मुस्लिम विश्वविद्यालय में महिला कॉलेज छात्र संघ की अध्यक्ष चुनी गई थीं। उन्हें 2019 में शुरू हुए सीएए के विरोध प्रदर्शनों में सक्रिय रूप से भाग लेने के लिए जाना जाता है। भाजपा के राष्ट्रीय प्रवक्ता संबित पात्रा द्वारा उनके भाषण के एक छोटे से हिस्से को ट्वीट किए जाने के बाद उन्हें कई दिनों तक मीडिया ट्रायल का सामना करना पड़ा।

आयशा रेन्ना –

आयशा रेना जामिया मिलिया इस्लामिया में इतिहास की 23 वर्षीय छात्रा और फ्रेटरनिटी मूवमेंट की राष्ट्रीय सचिव हैं। वह नागरिकता संशोधन अधिनियम के विरोध की प्रमुख आवाज़ों में से एक हैं। बरखा दत्त ने एक साक्षात्कार में उन्हें लदीदा फरजाना के साथ ‘जामिया के शेरनियां’ कहा था। विरोध के दौरान अपने दोस्त को बचाने के लिए पुलिस अधिकारियों से भिड़ने का उनका वीडियो वायरल हो गया। उन्होंने 2019 में भारत सरकार द्वारा पारित नागरिकता संशोधन अधिनियम के खिलाफ शाहीन बाग विरोध स्थलों को संबोधित करने के लिए सभी प्रमुख भारतीय शहरों की यात्रा की है। जनवरी 2021 में उन्हें अरुंधति रॉय, कन्नन गोपीनाथन और शारजील उस्मानी के साथ एल्गर परिषद में बोलने के लिए आमंत्रित किया गया था।

अबुल आला सुभानी जामिया मिलिया इस्लामिया में एक शोध विद्वान और फ्रेटरनिटी मूवमेंट के उपाध्यक्ष हैं। इससे पहले उन्होंने स्टूडेंट्स इस्लामिक ऑर्गनाइजेशन के दिल्ली प्रदेश अध्यक्ष के रूप में कार्य किया।

Javed Mohammad, assumed by the police as the mastermind of Allahabad protests against the insulting remarks by BJP leaders, has the exemplary records of the community service and welfare of masses in Prayagraj. Called by some locals as Javed Pump because of his submersible business in the city, he was born in 1966. He is the Nazim-e-Shehr on behalf of Jamaat-e-Islami, Hind for Prayagraj and the General Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Unit of the Welfare Party of India headed by Qasim Rasool Ilyas, the father of Umar Khalid, who is in jail on the charges of inciting and causing the North Delhi riots in 2020 according to Delhi Police. Afreen Fatima, the elder daughter of Javed Mohammad is known and admired social activist working for the oppressed and downtrodden people of the country.

Social Activist:

Javed Mohammad has been active in the realm of social issues actively participating in removing the worries of the common men and working for the welfare of the community. His post on facebook only two hours before Allahabad protests reveals his love for social harmony and amicable co-existence. He wrote on his timeline at 11.28 AM of 10 June, 2022 “किसी भी मसले पर यदी सरकार से बात कहना हो तो बेहतरीन तरीका होता है अपनी बात या मांग को ज्ञापन के जरये अधिकारियों से समय लेकर दी जाय, यह शहर हमेशा शांती प्रिय रहा है, हालात के मद्देनजर हमें खामोशी से जुमा नमाज पढ़ कर अल्लाह से दुआ करनी चाहिए अमनो अमान के लिए, सभी को कानूनी दायरे में रह कर अपनी बात कहने को अधिकार है, मेमोरंडम बनाएं हम सब मिलकर, जिला अधिकारी के माध्यम से राज्य सरकार या केंद्र सरकार, महा महिम राष्ट्रपति महोदय को भेजवायें, बेवजह कोई भी सड़क पर इकठ्ठा बिल्कुल न हो जिससे पूरी मिल्लत को नुकसान उठाना पड़े. जुमा पढ़े, अपने घर जाकर दुआ  करिए कि अमन चैन शांती मुहब्बत कायम रहे। मेहरबानी करके पोस्ट शयर जरूर करें. However, some persons regard it as the double standard of Javed Mohammad considering him as the mastermind behind Prayagraj violence.

Javed Mohammad has also been active for removing encroachments from a Muslim graveyard in Kala Danda area of Prayagraj in capacity of the president of the Qabristan Committee. He fought a legal battle seeking help from the police and approaching the courts in this campaign. Removing encroachments is not an easy task, which angers land mafia and their goons and Javed Mohammad also faced the furry of the local builders.

Campaigner against the mob lynching:

Many Muslim youth and others have been lynched in India in the recent past. One of such unfortunate cases had occurred on the outskirts of Prayagraj. In this horrible incident, he approached the Allahabad High Court to bring the culprits under the clutches of punishment and administer justice to the victim.

While Covid – 19 pandemic was ravaging the country second time, Javed Mohammad rendered great services by arranging oxygen machines and cylinders and when certain parts of Prayagraj got flooded, he was not behind and came forward actively engaged in relief efforts. That apart, he is known and respected in Prayagraj and surrounding areas for extending helping hands in mattes of medical treatment and hospital bills for the needy persons and school fees / books for students of the poor parents.

A Vocal Muslim:

Javed Mohammad has always been vocal in reference to the issues of Muslims in India such as Babri Masjid demolition, citizenship amendment excluding Muslims and retaining others and Government policy towards NRC. However, we can observe his foresight for common welfare of the country brethren when he recalled anti CAA and NRC protests in view of dangers posed by Covid – 19 pandemic.

Father of Afreen Fatima:

Afreen Fatima, a renowned activist, who has graduated from AMU and pursuing her education in JNU, has been active participant in Shaheen Bagh protests, touring the South in Hijab row and expressing her points of views on vital issues concerning the community in particular and the marginalized persons in common.

Wrongly accused by Police:Although, Javed Mohammad has been an important part of every peace committee in the city cooperating with the police and authorities during conflicts, now he is prime accused in the Prayagraj protests case and the police have regarded him as the mastermind behind this occurrence. Now he needs dedicated legal and moral support in fighting for justice. ◊◊◊

(In particular reference to Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rehmani’s essay on helping the oppressed prisoners in Sham-e-Feroza Column)

We read news items every now and then in various media outlets about the respect acquittal of a number of Muslim who had been charged, tried and ultimately acquitted on the ground of lacking evidence so there is he need of helping the oppressed prisoners. Such cases are numerous in which the police made out false cases sending innocent Indian Muslims behind bar ruining their lives and families because they were lastly found to be not guilty of charges alleged by the police against them. According to some reports, about ten thousand Muslim youth of the country are behind bar, majority of which is educated and they were bread earners of their respective families. We can easily perceive hardships, trauma and uncertainties being faced by their parents, wives, brothers and sisters and their near and dear ones. Hopefully, some Muslim organizations are rendering valuable services in rescuing the innocent victims of the State and other adverse forces and there is a pressing need to organize these efforts into a dedicated campaign so that the maximum number of prisoners victim of the system could be rescued; rehabilitated and the guilty persons could be brought to justice.

Approaching the Judiciary:

Communalism has penetrated deep in the very fabric of the country prevailing in each sector of human activities, which had led to the need of helping the oppressed prisoners and the judiciary in the country still sustains a hope among the people working for helpless prisoners as they get justice though not full justice because of slow trial wasting a considerable part of the victim’s life. Hence, we must take active part in those cases, in which the Muslims are wrongfully charged and subjected to torture approaching courts strongly pleading their stance and innocence:

Helping Prisoners after Acquittal:

In India, judicial system is not so prompt deciding cases within reasonable span of time. Years and decades pass on and the police deliberately cause delay for various reasons and the persons persecuted in the name of law & order and security of the nation loose many precious years of their life in jail facing even torture in some cases, which render them incapable for normal course of existence and they become so notorious due to the undue media coverage that employers do not want to employee them. Therefore, mere acquittal of the innocent prisoners is not enough. There must be an effective system of the State and judiciary to redress injustices meted out on them. Proper compensation, certificate of being a good citizen and suitable employment must be provided and if the Government and judiciary do not do anything in this behalf, the concerned citizens of the country, responsible persons of the community and other kinds of organizations can devise a mechanism for helping unfortunate prisoners victim of false cases and subject to injustices of the state machinery.

Responsibility of the Community in the light of Islam:

The prophet of Islam (PBUH) has vehemently insisted upon helping the oppressed prisoners and victim of injustices in various sayings. It has been stated in one of sayings (Ahadith) that a Muslim is a brother of other Muslims. He neither oppresses his brothers nor does he tolerate his brothers being oppressed.

Steps to be taken for helping the Muslims:

A question arises, what measures and steps can be taken in respect of helping the oppressed prisoners. One of them is rescuing and getting the persons who have been falsely implicated in the fabricated cases to be acquitted and helped for normal life. In the saying narrated by Hazrat Musa Ashari in Bukhari, the Prophet of Islam says: “Feed the hungry, attend the sick and enlarge the prisoner.” Such measures can be summarized as per below:

A.     Pressing the politicians and local representatives: All Muslims in the unanimous voice and unity must exert pressure on the local politicians and political agents that they would vote in their favor only if they would extend their cooperation in rescuing the innocent Muslim youth charged falsely reminding them of legislation enacted by the legislature and their local obligations.

B.     Peaceful Protests: Peaceful public protests and demonstrations and such other measures have high importance in the countries ruled on the principles of democracy. Therefore, the organized protests must be organized peacefully in every nook and corner of the country in such matters and rallies also must launched adhering rules of the land. Protesting letters be written and every perceivable pressure be exerted to achieve this noble cause.

C.     Establishment of Legal Cell: Legal cells should be established on central as well as state level to help the oppressed prisoners and victims of injustices. Muslim advocates must render their free services or on the reduced costs for this great cause. The secularist non-Muslim advocates and persons working in the field of human rights be contacted and convinced to extend their support and services. The Muslims who have wealth at their disposal must support these causes financially. The objectives of such legal remedies must not be limited only to get the victims acquitted but they must aim also at bringing the police responsible for such injustices within the purview of crime and punishment.

D.     Proper Care of Victim’s Family: The family of the prisoners must be cared of in daily household chorus, free education of their children in religious or secular educational institutions, marriage arrangement and wedding expenses of their daughters, tackling employment issues of their dependents. It be noted that the vast Muslim population of the country can easily afford it.     

E.     Establishment of an institute / organization / society / board for achieving such objectives: As to helping the oppressed prisoners, there is a pressing need to establish an institute / organization / society / board on the model of All India Personal Board or other effective such organizations only for seeking the blessings of the Almighty Allah not for fame and fortune.

AN IMPORTANT NOTE

We must take note that numerous communal riots, incidents of expulsions and arrest of innocent Muslim youth in large number is not by chance but by planned conspiracy with objectives in mind to demoralize and dishearten the Muslim Community in India marginalizing, insulting and subjecting them to complex psychological disorder of inferiority complex. They are also a part of campaign to keep the Muslim Community in India poor, illiterate, ashamed of their history and indifferent to their religion. Therefore, if we do not act with wisdom of the believers, courage, endurance, Islamic brotherhood, seeking help from the Almighty Allah, good treatment of the country brethren, we would fail and our future would become bleaker and bleaker with passage of time. Helping the oppressed prisoners is the religious obligation as well.
